“The European Union has become extremely misguided compared to the original concept, as exemplified by the fact that they are saying they will punish anyone who disobeys them or thinks differently”, Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister György Bakondi said on Hungarian M1 television’s Wednesday evening current affairs program.

“Frans Timmermans and Manfred Weber, the two top candidates for the post of European Commission President, are trying to outbid each other in the debate between them, and what has transpired is that they want to punish anyone who thinks in terms of family, homeland and Christianity”, Mr. Bakondi said.

“Following previous EU elections, the left has always said that it would like there to be a European-level issue to which they can provide a response in each member state. We now have such an issue, and it is migration and terrorism, which the population of the European Union are concerned about”, the Chief Advisor said.
