According to the Chief Security Advisor to the Prime Minister, the situation in the Bosnian city of Bihać has become untenable due the crimes being committed by immigrants.

Speaking on Hungarian M1 television’s Wednesday morning current affairs program, György Bakondi said that according to a statement by the local police spokesperson, investigations have been launched in the city with relation to 60 serious crimes.

“The thousands of illegal immigrants who are arriving in the settlement would like to receive asylum, but not in Bosnia, but in a more affluent country; this, however, is made impossible by the UN’s convention on refugees, which is based on the principle of first safe country”, he added.

“From Bosnia, the illegal immigrants would like to reach Italy or Austria via Croatia and Slovenia”, he stressed.

“The continued flow of the 70 thousand registered illegal immigrants has come to a halt in the area of the Bosnian-Croatian border, and this is leading to major conflicts”, Mr. Bakondi said in assessment.
